Who We Are

The People Behind the Collective

A dedicated team of designers, educators, and community builders working to transform New England's fashion landscape.

Our History

Born in New Hampshire, Built for the Arts

Creative Fashion Collective was founded in 2024 by CEO and Director Dina Akel — a designer who experienced firsthand the barriers facing emerging creatives in New England. Frustrated by a fashion industry that offered visibility without infrastructure, Dina began convening models, designers, and creative artists in local cafes and retail spaces, listening to their stories and making connections that genuinely moved the needle. What started as informal conversations quickly revealed a shared need: talented people who didn't know how to turn their craft into a sustainable business.

That recognition became the foundation of CFC. We launched New Hampshire Fashion Week in Manchester in 2024 — not just as a runway show, but as a platform that showcased designers' garments for sale, connected creatives to real industry contacts, and brought together fashion, music, visual art, and performance under one roof. Because this has always been bigger than fashion. It is about the arts, community, and the belief that creative people deserve the resources to thrive where they live.
